AYSO Volunteer Status Risk Color Key

Color | Status | Description |
---|---|---|
Green | Eligible | The volunteer is eligible to volunteer in any position(s). |
Yellow | Restricted from Coaching | The volunteer is not eligible to volunteer as a coach or assistant coach but can volunteer in any other position(s). |
Orange | Restricted from Funds | The volunteer is not eligible to volunteer in positions responsible for managing region funds or personal identification information but can volunteer in any other position(s). |
Brown | Restricted from Coaching AND Funds | The designation applies to any adult volunteer that is not eligible to volunteer as a coach or assistant coach and not eligible to volunteer in positions responsible for managing region funds or personal identification information but can volunteer in any other position(s). |
Red | Ineligible | The volunteer is not eligible to volunteer in any position(s). There is usually an expiration date for Red Risk Status, generally between 5-20 years in the future. |
Gray | Pending | This volunteer is possibly pending the review of their background check or has not completed the background check consent form or other reasons that will need to be reviewed by the Safe Haven department. Volunteers with a gray/pending risk status shall not be assigned to any volunteer role. This includes coaches or any other field roles until the background check clears. None/No Status | The volunteer has not completed the background check consent form. This also allows the volunteer to do a renewal process. | |
Blue | Youth Volunteers | All eligible, registered youth volunteers are eligible to volunteer as referees, EPIC buddies or other positions supervised by registered adult volunteers. They may not be assigned as coaches or voting board members. |
DISQUALIFIED | INELIGIBLE | The volunteer is NEVER eligible to volunteer with AYSO in any capacity with no end date. |
